Sustainable Tourism

We’re proud to share some exciting news — Sovereign Park Motor Inn has officially been recognised as a Sustainable Quality Tourism Accredited Business through VTIC (Victorian Tourism Industry Council).

This accreditation isn’t just a badge on the wall — it’s a reflection of the commitment we’ve made to operating responsibly, sustainably, and with quality service at the core of everything we do.

What Does This Mean for Us?

Becoming a Sustainable Quality Tourism Business means we’ve met nationally-recognised standards in:

  • Environmental responsibility (think: reduced single-use plastics, efficient energy and water use)

  • Customer service and experience

  • Business operations and planning

  • Health and safety

  • Staff training and workplace culture

It also shows our commitment to continuous improvement — keeping us accountable as we grow and adapt in a way that respects our environment, our team, and our guests.

What Does This Mean for You, Our Guest?

As a guest, you can feel confident knowing you’re staying with a business that:

  • Operates ethically and sustainably

  • Delivers a quality experience with care and consistency

  • Invests in our people, our property, and our planet

  • Actively works to minimise our environmental footprint — without compromising your comfort

Some of the steps we’ve already taken include:

  • Installing 180 solar panels to reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy

  • Participating in the Cash 4 Cans program — with all proceeds donated to McCallum Disability Services and Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI)

  • Phasing out single-use plastics with refillable bathroom amenities

  • Supporting eco-friendly suppliers and smart waste management

Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting tourism that’s mindful and meaningful.
